A man's been found guilty of rape here in the city.

47 year old Paul Bamford of no fixed abode was found guilty after a trial lasting 6 days at Norwich Crown Court.

The incident happened in the St Augustine's Street area of the city back in January when an 18 year old woman was attacked while walking home after a night out.

Bamford will be sentenced on Wednesday 17th September.

Police are treating the body found in a city centre flat as suspicious.

The man's body was discovered in Paragon Place yesterday morning just after midnight.

Officers were called to the scene after concerns were raised about his welfare.

3 men and a woman were arrested yesterday - one of the men, a 32 year old will continue to be questioned by police until Wednesday - the others have been released from custody.

If you've ever been stuck or delayed on the Norwich to London line there could be some good news on the way.

Norfolk and Suffolk county councils have joined forces to try and get early rail line improvements.

They're urging the government and Network Rail to replace overhead lines now rather than in 2012 and to upgrade cross country routes to remove more goods trains from the main line.

The public consultation starts today on whether it should stay.

Post Office Limited want to shut it down as part of their national closure of branches.

The deadline for responses is the 26th of August.

Children from Norwich and south Norfolk have been having fun this afternoon - by learning about household disasters.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service has clubbed together with the police and trading standards, to host Crucial Crew.

It involves short, interactive activities to help the kids learn about preventing accidents.
