Norwich Women’s Institute Appeal for New Members

A brand new branch of the Women’s Institute has opened in Norwich City centre and is looking for new members.
Norwich All Saints WI meets on the second Thursday of every month at Evelyn Suffield House, 45 All Saints Green Norwich at 7.30 pm.
The programme for the coming year will include talks, live music, craft activities and well-being.

Free Health Check at the Sportspark

To mark National Heart Month the Sportspark is offering free health checks and exercise classes to help keep us in check.
There’ll be free health in later life classes on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th.
There’ll be free blood pressure checks and BMI tests on February 13th.

There’s a charity quiz and chips night happening on Thursday 11th February at Toftwood Village Hall.
It’s being organised by Dereham friends of Quidenham Childrens Hospice.

Wedding Exhibition in Lingwood

On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th February St Peters Church in Lingwood is holding a celebration of marriage.
There’ll be displays of weddings through the decades including photos and dresses.
It’s opening at 2pm on the Saturday and between 10am and 3.30pm on the Sunday.
Entrance is free refreshments will be available.
Valentines Ball

The East of England Ambulance Service will be teaching CPR.
The five minute drop in sessions are happening at the old Disney Store in the Mall.

There’s family fun happening between 13th and 21st of February at BeWILDerwood.
You can make a new year wish in their special boggle bonfire and have a go at guessing the wishes of all the BeWILDerwood characters.
Spixworth Snowdrop Walk

There’s a snow drop walk starting at Spixworth Parish Church on Sunday 14th February between 11.30 and 4pm.
It’s £2.50 for adults and £1 for children.
There’ll be hot refreshments and cakes.
There are a number of walks up to 3 miles and a mini exhibition as well called “Finds on the Farm- from the Ice Age to Today”.
Free Writing Workshops

There are free creative writing activities happening at the Forum on Wednesday 17th February.
They’re designed for 7-11 year olds and will start at 11am.
The session will give children the chance to take part in some activities to get the imagination going and getting them thinking about writing stories.
Half Term Music Workshops

Community Music East are putting on a series of events to keep the kids entertained this half term.
Rock school is designed for 12 to 16 year olds who want to learn to play in a band and develop song writing skills.
That’s on February 18th 10.30am until 4.30pm Access to Music on King Street.
There’s also Rockestra for 7 to 12 year olds interested in playing instruments, making songs and performing.
That’s on February 17th 10am until 1pm at Community Music East.

Little Hands Ukulele Club

A new ukulele club for children starts at Community Music East (CME) on Tuesday 23 February.
Little Hands Ukulele is open to youngsters aged seven to 12 and is suitable for beginners.
They’ll learn how to play chords and how to pluck, strum and sing along.

Fundraiser for the Ella Grace Honeyman Appeal

There's a charity music concert in the city to raise money for a sick Norfolk toddler.
Ella Grace Honeyman has a rare brain condition and needs costly treatment in America.
The concert at Sprowston Community High is at 7.30pm.
The Pyramid Compnay Singers will be performing a selection of songs from West End and Broadway musicals.
Tickets are £10 and include cheese, wine and refreshments (£8 concessions students, senior citizens).
